Describe the Term Internet?

What does Internet  mean? The internet is a globally connected network system that uses TCP/IP to transmit data via various types of media. The internet is a network of global exchanges – including private, public, business, academic and government networks – connected by guided, wireless and fiber-optic technologies. The terms internet and World Wide Web are often used interchangeably, but they are not exactly the same thing; the internet refers to the global communication system, including hardware and infrastructure, while the web is one of the services communicated over the internet. As computing advanced, peer-to-peer (P2P) communication was gradually delivered and enhanced. Since the 1990s, the internet has greatly influenced and upgraded networking to global standards. Billions of internet users rely on multiple application and networking technologies, including: Internet Protocol (IP): The internet’s primary component and communications backbone. Because the ...

Explain MIME and POP?

What is MIME? The MIME stands for Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions. As the name indicates, it is an extension to the Internet email protocol that allows it’s users to exchange different kinds of data files over the Internet such as images, audio, and video. The MIME is required if text in character sets other than ASCII. Virtually all human-written Internet email and a fairly large proportion of automated email is transmitted via SMTP in MIME format. Actually, MIME was designed mainly for SMTP, but the content types defined by MIME standards are important also in communication protocols outside of email, such as HTTP. In 1991, Nathan Borenstein of Bellcore proposed to the IETF that SMTP be extended so that Internet (but mainly Web) clients and servers could recognize and handle other kinds of data than ASCII text. As a result, new file types were added to “mail” as a supported Internet Protocol file type. MIME Working The web servers insert the MIME header at the begi...

Define Virtual Terminal?

Basically, a virtual terminal is a safe site page in your web program where you can process card instalments on the web. It is classified "virtual" on the grounds that it capacities like a Mastercard terminal yet through a non-physical programming application as opposed to a physical terminal. A virtual terminal is much the same as your physical Mastercard machine, then again, actually it's facilitated on the web. This implies you can transform any PC into a completely fledged Mastercard machine, so you can acknowledge installments whenever and anyplace. You process the installment by physically entering the client's card subtleties which you might be given via telephone, a mail request structure or through an online visit and submitting it for preparing. In the past, this functionality used to be performed by a physical te...

Explain the term telenet ?

It is a protocol that provides a command line interface for communication with a remote device or server, sometimes employed for remote management but also for initial device setup like network hardware. Telnet stands for Teletype Network, but it can also be used as a verb; 'to telnet' is to establish a connection using the Telnet protocol. Telnet, developed in 1969. In the light of security,  it was developed before the mainstream adaptation of the internet, Telnet on its own does not employ any form of encryption, making it outdated in terms of modern security. It has largely been overlapped by Secure Shell (SSH) protocol, at least on the public internet, but for instances where Telnet is still in use,  there are a few methods for securing your communications . Its working process like as t elnet provides users with a bidirectional interactive text-oriented communication system utilizing a virtual terminal connection over 8 byte. User data is interspersed in-band with ...
